There is a Mary Soal who marries a Samuel Chapman at All Saints Edmonton on 27 August 1778,
witness John Medford and John Beesley.
This is just 3 years after William Soal marries Clementina, could she be a sister? He named a daughter Mary (1779-1798)

I also noted that a James Soal married Ann CRICK (widow) 30 March 1812, witness Joseph Wood and Jane Allen. (Joseph Wood signs frequently so probably parish clerk)

The witnesses to William and Clemetina's marriage are William Caldwell and Thomas CRICK.

Their first child is Sophia, so her mother or grandmother's name, second child George- his father or grandfather. then Mary as above then an 18 year gap till John born 27 December 1797 at Ponders End Independent Church. There has to be other children in between, if they changed to a Non Conformist church it will be harder to track down.

Hi Amondg

I have found these 2 entries in the past but apart from the marriage of James who was baptised in 1782 in Edmonton, who I think is the one who married Ann Crick I have not got much further,

I found 7 children for William and Clementina

Sophia born and died 1776 St Leonard Shoreditch

george Stanbridge Soall born 1777 St Leonards died 1827

Mary Soall  1779 - 1798   Edmonton

James Soall 1782 Edmonton married Ann Crick

Clementina 1784/6 Edmonton

William Soall 1790 - 1866 Ponders end  My ancestor

John Soall  1794 -1857 Ponders End

Ther is also a marriage of an Elizabeth Soall and William Bygrave in Edmonton on Pallots that I have not been able to connect.

Thanks again for your very thoughtful contribution

Kind Regards

David

Hi Jomot

Thanks for the link about Kitty Benson unfortunately she died and they had another child also called Kitty in 1859, which would have made her only 16 in 1775 when clementina married, it was  worth a check though

Kind Regards

Dvid :D
