Killick name rings a bell, but will have to delve deep into un-digitised history.

To be honest I've taken it all with a pinch of salt. I thought I would do a little research of my own. The information my other half's dad has given me is very vague.
Only that his father and him were left a little money when she died.I don't think he ever met her.

That's one possibility I have is Elsie mother Elizabeth Ann Killick was shown as a  widow in the 1911 census. There is another marriage registered

I’m not following that last post I’m afraid. You say that Elizabeth Ann Killick is a widow in 1911, presumably under the name of Killick? So how can that be her marriage in 1842? It is also far too early isn’t it?

In answer to the question about how to find who they married, you have to look at the next census and from there should be able to work it out.
