Baptism Ellen / Eleanor Reed / Reid 1st May 1831 Meldon

I believe that the following Baptism isn't available online, is anyone available to check and verify

Ellen / Eleanor Reed / Reid, 1st May 1831, Meldon, Northumberland

From England Select Births and Christenings 1538-1975 the parents are listed as William Reed and Susannah. I believe this to be an error, the mother should be Margaret and I believe Susannah is the sister born 1825 in Meldon.

Can anyone help, or advise if the only way to view the original document is take a trip to Northumberland please? I am trying to confirm Margaret WAS the mother and also ascertain her maiden name.

It is online via Family Search, and the mother's name is clearly Susannah.

You would need to visit Northumberland Archives, or request a look-up to check on the original from which this was copied (I believe what you see is from the Bishops Transcripts)

A baptism record for about this time is unlikely to indicate the mother's maiden name.

Yes, I did.  The baptisms listed on your earleir thread came directly from the parish record and the wording is as shown - no additional information was available on them.
