Hi amondg,

I'm not going to ask how you found him.
I'm just very happy to know that I'm not going mad after all.
That is him, His father clinches it, and he had married Elizabeth TALBOYS in 1816 to produce Thomas and 10 other children.  All I have to do now is locate Harriet COX in Dursley in 1820 as well.
Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate the help.

Regards
Geoff
PS Yeah, I have all the family, It's a shame that Thomas died not long after Sarah was born. Then Harriet married a widower with small children like her and they came out to Australia in 1860.

Harriet's immigration record (1858 David Maciver) says she is a native of Avening, Gloucestershire.

Hi Solidrock,

Thank you for the lookup, but somehow I don't think that is my Harriet, the one I saw was definitely Christened in1820 in Dursley, and she had just reached 21 years of age when married in 1841.
Her parents were named as Richard and Ann COX. .
The way familysearch is working I think it maybe either having problems or there is maintenance going on.
I think I will just hang off and wait until Familysearch is working properly before I chase her anymore
I do thank you for your help with this though.
Kindest Regards
Geoff

I don't think it's a maintenance problem with Family Search at lot of their records have gone missing over the past few months, I maybe wrong but I think a certain well known geology site has got a big finger in the pie. If you ask Family Search about this you are just met with silence.

Hi Solidrock,

I know exactly what you are referring to and I'm not surprised at your assumption.
There has been funny goings-on there for awhile.
But, that same mob have just about cooked the golden goose in my opinion.
They are creating a monopoly on our Genealogy/Family History, then attempting to bleed us dry to access it
Well I've spent my last dollar with them and I'm storing all my work.
When I have it all sorted I'm going to organise it as either a book or a large wall chart and then I will donate a copy to my Library.
I have been told that the National Archives in Canberra are accepting these type of records also.

Cheers
Geoff

Hi Debra,

How dumb am I ? If I had thought I could have pulled a file out of the cabinet and read that fact without chasing all over the place. To late now, as soon as I read that I felt stupid, and your right it was Thomas at Dursley & Harriet was from Avening.
Thank you for your good eyes, I'm very grateful.  I'm going to blame the medication for this one.

Regards
Geoff
