I’d appreciate any help in looking for the family and surname of Amelia Haigh before she was married to John Haigh of Green Head, Bradfield, a Farmer in the 1851 Census.
Amelia ? born 1803 in Penistone.

Pauline, it mentions John Haigh's birthplace as Melton, Yorkshire, any idea where this could be?
I've heard of High Melton and West Melton but never Melton on its own.

Does it get mentioned more than once?
Is the transcription accurate?
