Look up request - St. Ann's Church, Soho
« on: Thursday 01 February 18 17:41 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I don't know if anyone can help me with this?

I have a JOHN GIBSON b abt 1803 in St. Ann's, Surrey which I believe would be the Soho Church.
I need to find out if there is a baptism record that might show his parents were Thomas Gibson b 1775 a coach lace weaver and wife Ann (Dormay), who both were married in this church.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Val

Soho isn’t in Surrey.  Though that could just have been written down incorrectly on the census.

But if your John Gibson is the one living in Finsbury, Middlesex, in 1841 - he’s recorded as being born out of the county.

Aaah, thanks Colin. This is great news as I had no idea it was close to St. Giles where other members if the family were baptised.

Really helpful!  Thanks so much.
