Can someone help me trace a deceased person please
« on: Tuesday 20 February 18 18:37 GMT (UK) »
All I know is in 1972 she married Owen Gough in Leeds and was called Mary Ann Leadbeater at that time.

I'm not sure when she was born or died or whether she was married previously to this or has any children, however.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Owen Gough was 1913-1986 and had been married previously to an Amy Paver who died in 1952.

thankyou guys

Same one as above popped up for me to Groom.

What was the status of Mary Ann Leadbeater on the 1972 marriage certificate ?  Couldn't see a 1925 birth so quite probably married previously.

Who was the informant on the death certificate of Owen ?

Agree, no Leadbetter births the right period, so probably a second marriage.

Hi,

The only marriage that shows up for a marriage of a Mary Ann to a Leadbeater is this one from FreeBMD:

Kaiser, Mary A to Leadbeater, Ernest D; June Qtr 1947; Durham C Reg Dist; Volume 1a Page 649.

There is the following possible death for Ernest (no middle name given) also from FreeBMD:

Leadbeater, Ernest; Age 57; Sept Qtr 1964; Durham N.E. Reg Dist; Volume 1A Page 399.

Also this birth on FreeBMD:

Kaiser, Mary A; June Qtr 1925; MMN Wayman; Durham Reg Dist; Volume 10a Page 748.

The above birth is the only birth record in 1925 for a Mary Ann Kaiser. The above birth would also fit with the death index record as found & posted by Groom earlier.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

Hi,

what about Mary A Howley who married Tom Leadbeater in 1934?

If Mary Ann was born in 1925 as it appears that she was, she would only be 9 years old in 1934?

Most unlikely to be the 1934 marriage.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

I know just opening up the possibility the 1925 birth year is inaccurate.

how do I search for all Mary Ann's marrying a Leadbeater please on freeBMD?
