Note in Baptism records
« on: Wednesday 21 February 18 18:23 GMT (UK) »
I am looking at St Mary's Penzance Parish Baptism records for the 1890s. There are several 'A' notes in the margin. Has anyone any ideas what this means? I have seen the usual 'P' for Private Baptism and on one occasion there is a 'P' and an 'A' noted against one entry. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You could try checking the A names in the census records to see what age they are.

I would agree with SmallTownGirl that it probably means Adult.
