Ellen or Eleanor, wife of William Isack/ Isaac.
« on: Monday 26 February 18 16:56 GMT (UK) »
Hello There,

The above person was one of my 9x great grandparents.

On the baptisms of her children, all born in Clyst Hydon, her name was put down sometimes as: "Ellen", and sometimes as "Eleanor".
Her husband was William Isack. This surname has been transcribed in various different ways. William was born in 1655 in Plymtree.
William and Ellen/ Eleanor had these four children all baptised in Clyst Hydon:
Thomas in 1691.
Mary 1700, buried in 1701.
Mary baptised in August 1703.
William baptised in 1707.

I cannot seem to find anymore baptisms for children born to this pair.
But more importantly, I cannot seem to find a marriage record anywhere for William Isack getting married to an "Ellen" or "Eleanor".

William Isack, my 9x great granddad was buried on the 11th of September 1724 in Clyst Hydon.
Eleanor Isack "Widow" was buried on the 3rd of May 1737 in Clyst Hydon.

I know this may be a long shot, but if anyone has any information about a marriage record between William Isack (or surname variants), and an Ellen/ Eleanor, it would be gratefully accepted.

Thank you very much.  :) ;)

There was another son I can find, John ISAAC baptised 27 May 1696, son of William and Ellen at Clyst Hydon.

Cannot find the marriage though, as the site I use has not copied the records back far enough yet.
