Elizabeth Chapman born c1808 either Roydon, Essex or Hoddesdon, Herts

This lady is a long standing brick wall.  She married James Barrett in 1833 in Broxboure, Herts, baptised 5 children and then died in 1874 in Hoddesdon.

Census have her variously born

outside Herts - 1841
Roydon, Essex - 1851 and 1861 although 1861 has been transcribed as Bandon
Hoddesdon, Herts 1871

I have been unable to find her baptism in Hertfordshire.  I wonder if anyone could check the baptism records for Roydon for me.

Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a village called Berden Essex that is just a few miles from Bishop Stortford Hertfordshire.

The first letter of the village re: 1861 census is definitely a B

Elizabeth Chapman baptized 13 June 1813 daughter of William Chapman and Elizabeth. Father a day labourer, abode Park Green.

Thank you amondg, that looks very promising, afraid my knowledge of that area is not good!  Funnily enough I have Chapman's from Berden in another bit of the tree who are also causing a problem!
