1841 and 1871 census records

I'm curious to know why the 1841 and 1871 census transcriptions do not show occupations.  The 1871 census also seems to just show county of birth whereas the image shows the actual place of birth.

Anyone know or have suggestions to offer regarding the above?

I shall be interested to know what the answer is.

I wonder if they were the first census transcribed commercially after the 1881 which was done by the Latter Day Saints

My memory of it (which may be completely wrong!) is that the 1841 and 1871 census transcriptions on findmypast came from the Origins website.  Origins was to do with the Society of Genealogists?
Sometime later Origins disappeared altogether and their other records subsumed into findmypast.

1881 and 1901 were the first online, I don't think there was a findmypast in those days (and that was originally called 1837online)

I remember Find My Past as being 1837online when I first started doing family history.

I shall be interested to see if anyone else has any comments to make.
