Hi
My Hall families seem to have been in Clackmannan for at least 300 years. Many seem to have followed traditional naming patterns. Less frequently these patterns have slight variations. Throughout the records on Scotlandspeople there are Hall families marrying other Hall families. I suspect but have no proof yet that these are cousins.
My question is: Thomas Hall and Marion Hall had a number of other children (6 at least). The first born child I can find to Thomas and Marion Hall was David Hall born 1672 but the only David Hall I can find who would be Thomas father is the one who married Janet Milne. Of David and Janets 4 children I have been unable to locate a Thomas Hall born about 1639-1650. Could this be a case of the Halls not following the scottish naming patterns or have I missed a record. Can anyone find the record?
The children for Thomas and Marion are: Catherine, David, Marion, Archibald, Thomas, Bessie and John. John is my direct ancestor.
