The word before intromitters is some form of the word universal.

It definitely ends in -versall.

The first three letters may be w-i-n?

You are right, it is winiversall. I have amended my version accordingly.

Have to say this is a fantastic piece of Scots writing - would do the youngsters well if they encountered this sort of thing in SQA Higher English ! (Some choose to do a 'Scots literature' part)

Re the Sim(e)on Wadderston mentioned in the document, there is an entry in the Retours for his son. The Latin reads

  Gulielmus Wadderstoune filius natu maximus Simeonis Wadderstoune in Over Howdon,
  haeres masculus Georgii Mathiesone portionarii de Meidlin, proavi ex parte matris.

  William Wadderston oldest son of Sim(e)on Wadderston in Over Howdon, heir male of George
  Mathieson, portioner of Meidlin, great grandfather on his mother's side.
