L/Cpl ALEXANDER CRIGHTON TAYLOR (1895-1918) Remembered with Honour at Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, Hazebrouk, Northern France.
In Memory of my Great Uncle, Alick Taylor, born Aberdeen, son of John and Jessie (Crighton) Taylor, the seventh of their 12 children (six sons enlisted in WW1). Alick joined the Royal Army Medical Corps in November 1914, 1st Highland Field Ambulance, serving in Gallipoli and on the Western Front. He died of wounds one hundred years ago today, on 15th April 1918 in the Fourth Battle of Ypres, just 22 years old. Alick never married and was dearly missed by his parents and family in Aberdeen, Dundee and Australia.
