Looking for baptism of Sarah WATSON abt 1745
« on: Wednesday 18 April 18 14:45 BST (UK) »
Sarah WATSON married William PHIPPS at Thrussington 1773. At  Marriage both lived in the Parish.

Sarah was buried 10 Feb 1819 Thrussington; her age was given as 74 making a birth about 1745.

According to my search on FindMyPast there doesn't appear to be any WATSONs in Thrussington till Sarah's marriage in 1773.

There is a Sarah WATSON:
dau of John & Sarah WATSON bap 24 Apr 1744 at Harston,
dau of James & Sarah WATSON bap 12 Oct 1744 at Hinckley
dau of John & Ann WATSON bap 02 May 1749 at Hinckley

Your opinion please as to these options.  ??? Perhaps I am totally wrong however your opinion sought.

Difficult!

Were there any other children born to William and Sarah?  I can only see Mary and Rebecca.  Rebecca was obviously named for William's mother, assuming I've got the right William Phipps, born 1753 to Thomas and Rebecca at Walton on the Wolds.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

William & Sarah's children I have located to date are as follows:

Mary bap 1776
Rebecca bap 1778 and bur 1778
Elizabeth bap 1779
Sarah bap 1782
Ann whose baptism I cannot locate however a proposed birth year is 1786
Thomas bap 1787
Rebecca bap 1790

I hadn't found William's baptism as yet so thanks so much for the date and location.
