Have you looked at this one as a possible for John snr?

1861 Census
Buchanan Street, Old Monkland, Old Monkland Middle District, Lanarkshire, Scotland

Bernard McGee, age 30, born Ireland, field labourer
Bridget McGee,age 24,wife, born Ireland
John Mcgee, age 1, born Old Monkland, Lanarkshire

The family are in Lanarkshire for 1871 Census, no John with them but haven't managed to find them after that :(

good evening I have followed your tip re the 1861 census (old Monkland middle district)found them on the 1871. I then managed to find Bernard as a lodger on the 1851 CENSUS then Bridgett and Bernards marriage in 1959.However I cannot find the death certificate for  Bernard nor the birth and death certificate for Bridgett . I have been on the national site for Ireland with no luck any  experts out there to give me some more direction thanking you in anticipation. ( im really hooked now ) many thanks in anticipation              zelda
