George is my grandmothers great uncle

he served in world war 1

Thanks for the great restore is there a way to make George’s face in the original less faint as it’s rather faint to begin with

I was wondering about that, trying to keep with the overall look of the original, including the back lighting.
I just like to do photo restores.
