Double Exposure of Aunt May
« on: Wednesday 23 May 18 19:42 BST (UK) »
Dear Restorers,

This is a photograph of my Aunt May, my guess is it was taken around 1930ish. May had beautiful natural dark red hair in her youth and green eyes, her skin was fair with a few light freckles.

I'm not sure who the other lady is....so I'm hoping that it is possible to make two separate images.

I think this is rather a rather tricky one, and could well be asking rather a lot! I'd
be very pleased though, if you do give it a go.

I have given May a new background, I can't make out the other lady I'm sorry.

Hello Pat,

Thank-you for spending time on this. I think you did an excellent job sorting out
May's dress, that couldn't have been easy.

To japeflakes,

Thank-you for making the face a little clearer of the other lady - still not sure who she is!

Hi, Cotton Reel.
To help in your identifying of the mystery person in your photo, I've had a go at trying to extract as much as possible of the face. Obviously a lot of my image is made up, the hair and clothing, e.g., and I cloned the left eye to replace a not-really-there right eye. But for the rest of the face I tried to tease out detail while keeping any fudging to a bare minimum. Hope it helps a little.

Hello Peter and Terry,

Thank-you for having a go at sorting out the images. You have both done extremely well, it certainly must take time and patience to get the results you have given me.

I think the other lady could be Florence, who was my great aunt. Here is a photograph of her taken at a later date. Do you think it could be her?
