No I don't have enough details to order the marriage cert for Thomas and Hannah. Any thoughts?

I have the marriage certificate for Thomas Francis and Ann Evans (Merthyr Tydfil 1856 Q4, 11A 568). It shows Ann Evans as being a Spinster, Father William Evans. Thomas is a Bachelor, Father David Francis. Thomas is a Mason. Witnessed by John Francis. So it doesn't look as though either were married before.

I also have a birth certificate for  Mary Ann Francis B. 1858 Merthyr Tydfil Aberdare. Father Thomas Francis, Mason. Mother Ann Francis formerly Evans.

I also have a birth certificate for John Francis 1864 Merthyr Tydfil Aberdare. Father Thomas Francis, stone Mason. Mother Ann Francis formerly Evans.

(Mary Ann and John are their children mentioned in the 1861 and 1871 Census).

Could we be looking at two families, an Evans family and a Williams family or are there two Anns?

It looks as though Ann, Anna and Hannah were used interchangeably. Hannah Male's Will refers to her as Anna and there is a header saying 'Hannah Male referred to in this document as Anna'

Looks like more than one family.

You haven't given exact dates of birth or addresses from the certs, but there is this family in Aberdare in 1861 which could be the one for which you have the certs
Gloucester Street, Aberdare RG9/4066 folio 96 pg 11
Thomas Francis head mar 25 mason b. Pembs, Wiston
Ann wife 25 b. Glam, Swansea
Mary dau 3 b. Aberdare

The 1861 for the other family
65 Ynislwyd St, Aberdare RG9/4066 folio 60 pg 21
Thomas Francis head mar 27 coal miner b. Glam, Penefail
Hanna wife 26 b. Carms, Whitland
Ann dau 2 b. Glam, Aberdare
+ 2 boarders

How sure are you that your Hannah was the widow of a Thomas Francis, rather than another Mr Francis?

Do you have any details for the Benjamin born around 1875 in Aberdare on the 1881 census as son and 1891 census as step son? He seems to have a middle name of Lewis by his marriage to Elizabeth Cox in 1895 and on the 1901 census.

could you give me the full details from the certs please?

What was the address where Benjamin was born?
The addresses from the Aberdare birth certs & marriage cert.
Occupations for the fathers from the marriage cert.
What was the address on the death cert for Thomas Francis? Who registered the death?

This may help to sort out which family is which.
