Laura Mansfield born 1864 in St Pancras
« on: Saturday 16 June 18 18:32 BST (UK) »
She was the sister to my great great grandmother. I have her from birth to the 1881 census with her parents James Mansfield and Ada Michelin.

But can’t find her in any later census. I know she was alive and living at Miranda road in highgate islington in the 1920s and died in islington in 1931, so where is she in those later census’

Her sister my great great grandmother was a actress, so it could be possible that she was going by a different name if doing the same. Which could make finding her impossible.

There is a Laura Mansfield of about the same age in later census but I am pretty sure it is not her, as she is a widow and my Laura never married from what I know.

Thanks,

Have you discounted the Laura Mansfield who was a dressmaker in1891 lodging in St Woollos Monmouthshire   and in 1901, again a dressmaker, lodging in Weston Super Mare ?  :-\

There's a Laura Mansfield b Marylebone c1869 working as a child's nurse/domestic servant in Newlyn on 1891. Possible?

thanks i'll take a look. Her mothers maiden name is Michelin, so that looks likely. Age of course wrong, but I never take much notice of that on census, as there can always been huge variations.
