Do you think Sejelflod could be referring to the place Sejlflod?  To set him apart from other Jens Christensen's in Vestero ? 

Just curious really, he's not my direct line nor is Kiersten... her brother Anders Gaarn Clausen Bak (1802-1865) and his wife Louise Larsdatter Smed (1802-1888)  is my line.

And awww, just found - Kiersten died around age 19, in 1828 :

Thank you -I think that's well settled - and her death registration, has her as Kirsten Jensdtr Sejlflod too. Albeit age 21 (she'd just turned 19).

fom the mainland (Jylland), and
the mother, now late

datter Gaarn*               *she died June 16, 1816, age 50 (ops.85)
of Westerĝe parish

So Sejlflod is a surname given to Kirstens father Jens, who probably was born there.

Some more info from a kind Dane:

Jens Christensen and Magretha Andersdatter were engaged Dec 29 1808 but didn't get married.

The engagement was cancelled October 20, 1814

after mutual agreement on the condition, that Jens payed 10 rigsdaler yearly to Magretha Andersdatter for maintenance of their daughter Kirsten, until she turned 10.
