Now a problem with Ancestry!
« on: Monday 18 June 18 13:22 BST (UK) »
Recently, I have had a problem on my home page on Ancestry, concerning 'Recent Member Connect Activity'

All the details are there, but instead of the contributors profile, it says 'Profile not Available'

When I look into the correction the person has made, their profile is there for all to see. This happened with two separate contributors.

I always use Firefox and I wondered if this was causing the problem, so today I logged into Ancestry using Internet Explorer and the same thing happened.

Has anybody else noticed this happening and do you know how I can correct it?

I have the same and I'm on Chrome so not just you or Firefox.

I ran a check and easily identified the profile. Looks like their problems are multiplying :(

Thank you Medpat. I'm glad it's not me doing something wrong.

I use FTM2017 which links through Ancestry. There was a message showing that Ancestry has been finally updated last week after a few months working on it. Since then, there seems to have been one or two niggling problems since the update. Your problem may be linked to these.

Thanks Malky

Looks like we'll just have to wait until they iron out all their problems.

Ancestry appear not to have heard the saying, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' Why, oh why can't they just leave well alone.
