Marriage;

MCDONALD ROBERT & CLUBB ANNIE 1885 (note no 'a')
644/4 339
Calton (Glasgow)

This will give both sets of parents names with both mothers' m/surnames

When searching if you use the 'fuzzy matching' option it will bring up Mc & Mac spellings.

Lucky/blessed, great stuff!

I'm heading out soon but hope the death for Robert Young MacDonald is correct?

Andrew age 11
James age 10
John age 7
Hugh age 3

Robert Young Macdonald was aged 5 years in 1901 but doesn't appear in 1911

I am only aware of Agnes's death at the moment but haven't looked yet, but it looks like Robert could have died between censuses too.

Are these all the ones you haven't found either alive or deceased?

Annie

Yes that right Annie.

Ahh so the deaths are likely in England or if immigrated then further afield.

Do you have the BCs for children or just their names from census'?

Hugh may have been registered e.g. as Ewen/Ewan & if so it's worth considering for later events & there's also the possibilty of famiy members returning to their homeland at some point to consider too?

M(a)cDonald is one of the most common names in Scotland if not the most common & I'm a MacDonald descendant but avoid research on mine like the plague as mine are from the Scottish Highlands where it's more prominent not to mention they all have the same names right down their lines!

A possible death?

McDonald Owen 59 Tynemouth 1b 434 (b c1909)

Owen is another variant of Hugh/Ewen etc.

I haven't looked for any marriages.

Just their names from census except John Robert who is on the 1911 census.

Robert Young McDonald, son of Donald Macdonald and Agnes Douglas  was married in the parish of Calton in 1885 to Annie Clubb Daughter of Andrew Clubb and Mary McIntire.

Thanks for the information and it has been noted.
