Occupation on 1839 probate?
« on: Wednesday 27 June 18 10:16 BST (UK) »
I am researching a Valentine Drant, b1783 in Grimsby Saltfleetby [sorry!]. It appears he died in Marylebone, 1839.

Given the relative poverty of his family, this is surprising (and I am trying to conform it).

I would be very interested to know his occupation, which I think is the last word in the attached extract of the probate.

There was a Valentine Drant apprenticed to William Dawson of Louth, stay maker in 1794.

He was a tobacconist at 63 Chandos Street in 1839 Pigots Directory.

Louth is only 10 miles from Saltfleetby where Valentine and the rest of my Drants were all born. So that's good.
