Does anyone have access to Margate newspapers for October 1968? I'm looking for any information as to the circumstances of the death of Elizabeth Lewin who died on 11 October 1968 at Margate Private Nursing Home, 130 Canterbury Road, Margate.

What cause of death is given on her death cert?  Was there an inquest?

Hi CaroleW,

The death cert includes 'accident causing the body to be buried' and certified by G. M. S. Keogh (MRC?). There's no indication as to whether there was an inquest.

That may have been a coroner reporting the death.  If so - there would probably have been an inquest

It would appear that she had a stroke and that the death was registered by someone who wasn't related to her. Any ideas as to where she would be been buried?

She left a will - may be something in it re: her wishes for burial
