Clementina Bull - some colour please

This is my great aunt Clementina looking somewhat formidable. I was wondering if some colour might soften her up a little.....

I wonder if this could be a mourning photo due her style of dress and she appears to be holding what could be a memorial card. This is a late 1890s photo so could she have lost her Husband I wonder.

I think you are spot on Carol - her husband George died in 1896.
