Bernard Curran
« on: Monday 09 July 18 15:00 BST (UK) »
Hi trying to find information on Bernard Curran of Strangford Co Down.
I have him in the 1901 Irish census, his wife is listed in the 1911 Irish census as a widow.
Age given in the 1901 census for Bernard is 49 so born around 1850.
Trying to find out parents name, marriage date, location etc.
Many thanks in advance.

Marriage 1879, father John.

No parent's names on the church records

bottom left page, but his baptism may be in the same register if he was from the same parish as his wife.

If that is the correct family.

Hi Sinann
That's the correct Bernard Curran.
Jane was his first wife and Mary Campbell was his second wife.
I looked at the records and didn't realise he married twice.
I can't make out his first wife's surname from the records.
Many thanks again.

A 22 year old servant Bernard Curran of Ballymenagh (Dunsfort) married 24 year old servant Margaret Hynds in Strangford RC church on 29 June 1869, fathers John Curran and William Hynds, both labourers. Possibility?

Hi Gaffy
Thanks for the reply.
I have Bernard's registration of death in 1910, age at death 59 years.
His age of 22 would be in 1873.
Can you give me a link on this please as it still could be a possibility?
Many thanks again.
