Marriage lookup

Hi looking for help on a marriage lookup in walthemstow

I have a Sydney Stoker b 1888c who was married to a Margaret brown b 1888c

We have looked high and low for a marriage register with no luck.

We are almost sure they did marry as on his army records its saying details very hard to read though, what we have made out is
Wife Margaret brown.  Married we think it says 8/11/1915 St James the great walthemstow. Victor can't read the name. Witnesses Joseph brown  can't. Read the other.

Sidney was in the forces at time.

Just can't understand why I can't find a marriage reg

Any help would be great

If it was at Walthamstow St James it should be available on SEAX.
Hope someone can help.
