Are the other pictures local, I assume you found it in Lincoln(shire)   :-\

I can't see anything by searching 'CREEN House'  or Finn Cup
Maybe it is Green house  ::)

"Green house" may just mean one of the "houses" a school was divided into for purpose of competing at sports etc.

I was in the "red" house at the first school I went to and "blue" house at a later school.

I also think it was a 'house name'  my junior school had Bannister, Chataway, Hilary & Tensing - That shows my age  ;D

I tried increasing the picture size but still could not decide whether it started with a C or G

Hi rosie99,

yes Lincolnshire find, but Leicestershire address's on a couple of the scenic postcards ,

Mrs Ryneburg, 13, Storer ? road, Loughborough.

It looks like letter G , because the other two C's are different  :)

www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk seems to have some mentions in the Grantham area...
1934...

SPITALGATE SCHOOL. Annual Athletic Sports at Grantham, Blue House Wins Two Cups

 - this image of the old building, while I'm not sure it's at the same location the photo was taken, does show some windows very similar in layout as in the photo - the three tall narrow with three lines (vents?) above.
