Hi Annette,

Have you found William on the 1841 Scottish Census?

He is (I think) living at Largo with his mother. stepfather and siblings. His father David Watson must have died pre-1839 for his mother Margaret Thompson remarries in that year- https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XTPT-YRM

The family are living at Temple , Largo
Andrew Rodger    age 35     Linen Hand Loom Weaver  born Fife
Margaret Rodger  age 40                                            born Fife
Margt Rodger       age 2                                                 "
William Watson    age 10                                               "
Ann Watson         age 8                                                 "
James Gillan         age 30    Salmon Fisher                   born outside census county

I would assume Ann is his full sister and Margt (Margaret) is his half sister.

Looby :)

"..I am trying to find any information regarding William Watson born Largo ,Fife shire Scotland abt 1831!"

Can you please list all the information on the marriage certificate, 1887.

Can you please list all the information on the death certificate, 1906.

It would seem that you already have a lot of information.   What information are you now looking for. You need to be specific. Are you looking for his origins.....life in Australia....what. It will save people wasting time and effort locating details that you already have.

I think you may need to use the 'modify' button to put the jigsaw into a picture as it's all over the place & not easy reading  :D

Maybe arrange it in the correct order with names/dates/occs next to the persons rather than a list?

Annette I need to arrange this is a useful form, so that I can draw meaning from it. It is good practice to use upper case for family names so that the name stands out from given names, place names, locations etc. Is this the information as you are seeing it on the certificates? You need to give the names of witnesses for the marriage, 1887.
