How did I know you would have an answer.
 Without concrete data, is it incorrect at this stage to use his age at death and probability of 2 marriages to move forward? As a beginner, I experience getting stuck on certain individuals because unable to verify all details.

Just a little snippet probably no connection,
Freemans Journal,Friday July 24th 1846
Summer Assizes,Tyrone
Wm Gibson,James McAteer and David Kelly,the three orangemen commited by Judge Torrens at the last assizes,where then placed in the dock and indicted for assembling and commiting a riot on the 18th of August last in Loughgilly Wood

they were found not guilty as the main witness,to the charges had gone to America

Simply Yes. Mary Jane is a common name in my tree.  James children(yet to confirm) Matilda, Margaret
Samuel and William were the very names Daughter Margaret(married William James Lemon) gave to her children. Dorothea Matilda, Mary Jane, Samuel and William James.  Jackpot!

Looking over this information -I have a question about James McAteer. Using birth 1787, marriage 1847 and death 1864. James to be married first time at age 60?  Perhaps a piece is missing?

yes I think so as well that is possibly not him so we have to continue to look for his death before 1901
