Apprentice Papers for Michael WIDDOWS
« on: Friday 31 August 18 07:56 BST (UK) »
I have just found the apprenticeship paper for my 6 times great grandfather, Michael Widdows of Shipton, Oxfordshire.

I am having trouble reading what he was apprenticed for.  I can make out the word clothmaking, but there are a few words prior to that which are hard to understand.

Can anyone please help?

I expect you have seen this but you can find more details through ROLLCO, which has a full index of the Clothworkers' membership:

A big thank you to everyone for the information on the Apprenticeship as Clothworker of my 6x g.grandfather.  I am pleased to be able to identify the words on his apprenticeship paper, and now I also know there is a website to search for details of all the Livery Companies and their apprentices and masters.  Great information to have.  Thank you again.
