Lorimer from Ballynure and Carrickfergus
« on: Tuesday 04 September 18 03:54 BST (UK) »
I've been trying to connect my 4th great grandfather who emigrated to the United States in the early 1800's.

Here is what I know.

Andrew Lorimer, born about 1778 in Antrim County, possibly in Carrickfergus.

He married Jane Walker in about 1798 (also born around 1778) in Antrim County.

They emigrated to Baltimore about 1802 and settled in Ohio in 1805.

The family was very connected to the Presbyterian Church.

I've found two Andrew Lorimers listed as buried in the Old Church Gravestones Ballynure and am wondering if they could be ancestors to him.  Maybe my Andrew's grandfather and great-grandfather?

Andrew Lorimer died 20 Sep 1744 aged 52 years and his wife Mary Scott died 15 Mar 1791 AE 90 years.

And Andrew Lorimer died 13 Jul 1790 aged 90 years and his wife Jane Kirk aged 65 years.
