That link doesn't work.

Just give us the name of the person, location, age and the census year.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Will try and do so. I am having sever(e) connection problems at present

Foe expiediencies sake, you may be able to get a lead from rough notes that I have taken

There was a Frederick Kirtland, 17,in the 1871 census that was in the household of his uncle and aunt Absolom, 59, Blacksmith, b. Charlton & Rebecca, 51, b, Stanlake who were living with their son John 27, Blacksmith, b. Fencott
They were living on the Oxford Brill Road.

It may be significant that a close neighbour was a Stephen Payne. It is known that the Michael Payne was the vet for the Kirtland’s family business of livery stables and dog boarding kennels from abt. 1959 - 1971 and was an old family friend.

t Houghton cum Studly

Edit Stephen Payne is on the previous page to Absolom and family.

The all-important reference is RG 10 / 1434 / 97 / 9

I think the occupation is Almsman (he is living in an Almshouse).

There are six occupants - three women (Almswomen) and three men (Almsmen)

I meant Eton, as in across the river from Windsor.
It seems to me that the link in the families goes back to Aslom’s generation
Any info on Frederick in Eton would be much apreciated though.
