There must be Land records transferring the farm to the Inheritor?

Thanks for your many suggestions. I don't think that Benjamin owned the farm as his assets were well under £200 and nothing has ever been said in the family about a land inheritance. Mary Ann his widow went to live in Leicester after his death.

Not sure if this will help but could be worth an email - RAOGK volunteer for Boulder County. First on list.

Sandra

I could get another opinion at Boulder County although my original request at Boulder produced a reply that Bald Mountain was not in Boulder but in Summit and thanks Sandra for posting the National Wills and Admin. document. j-allen

Letters of Administration of his personal estate, stating the Benjamin Rowe late of Bald Mountain, Colorado died on the 27th January 1876 and was a Farmer

It read that he was a tin miner....disappeared, died a farmer in Colorado....

Yes this is true hallmark. I was most surprised he was a Farmer especially as Colorado is a mining state!
