Italy - Giulio Icardi

Anna Sim, daughter of Alexander Sim of Collooney Mills, Sligo, married Giulio Icardi on 22 July 1885 at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London. He was 46, son of Pierre Icardi, and said in family sources to be an Italian Count.

I would like to know more about Giulio Icardi. Where and when was he born, and where and when did he die? Was he really a count? Also when and where did Anna die?

I have drawn a blank on FamilySearch, FindMyPast, Ancestry, The Genealogist, the civil registration indexes of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland and Antenati.

Any suggestions? I can read Italian so Italian sites would be no problem.

Looking on Ancestry, and for Pierre Icardi, I found two births, one of which might by your Giulio as it ties with his birth year (1839) as indicated by his age (46) on the marriage record:

Father: Pierre Icardi
Mother: Baptistine Borelly (see note below)
Birth date: 21 June 1838
Birthplace: Nice (France)

Jules Jean Louis Icardi (could he have shortened to Giulio?)
Father: Pierre Icardi
Mother: Marie Baptistine Roselli (note this surname spelling - transcription discrepancy?)
Birth date: 28 May 1839
Birthplace: Nice (France)

Oh, thank you, Vimto, that does look very interesting. Jules is of course the French equivalent of Italian Giulio.

Ancestry and similar have very limited information for Italy, and it's quite likely that if Guilio was born in Italy and returned there with Anna after marriage that they will not show up on any of the big commercial websites.  You may want to check out https://www.italiangenealogy.com/

I don't have a full copy of the marriage certificate, but I will get one.

I am now wondering why the forms for recording baptisms in a parish in Nice in France were pre-printed in Italian? And amused that the index quoted by Vimto has translated all the names into French.

I've had a look at both baptisms, and as usual the answers raise more questions. I think I know the answers to the first two but would be grateful for a second opinion.

On the attached extract, what is the occupation of Pietro Icardi?

Second, what does 'professione proprietaria' signify?

Also, what is the very last word? The sentence translates roughly as 'The report of the birth and request for baptism were made by the father of the newborn who is ....'.
