William Brown and Bridget Elliott
« on: Friday 12 October 18 13:52 BST (UK) »
I`m looking for some info please. My ggg grandmother was born in 1810 to her parents William Brown and Bridget Elliott on a military base somewhere in Spain. Her name is Catherine Brown. I have details on her children and life etc but absolutely nothing on her parents. I dont know anything about when they went across to Spain or when they returned. I know that Bridget returned to Scotland because she died in Edinburgh and that is where her daughter married her husband too. I assume they were originally from Edinburgh before going to Spain..... I dont know whether William died in Spain or returned with Bridget. No idea either what regiment he was in. Bridget died in 1852 and Catherine died in 1898 in Dundee.
Any assistance is much appreciated....

Unfortunately there would be no passenger lists to help with an immigration date.

Equally unfortunately, the overseas army births don't have a listing for her.

If Bridget was still alive in 1852 do you have her in census.  What information does her death give regarding age etc
