Ealing district 1818 info please
« on: Saturday 27 August 05 18:54 BST (UK) »
hello,

does anyone know who holds the parish records for ealing for 1818 please.  I am trying to locate the correct local studies/family history society to obtain a copy of the parish record for the following entry.  I have trawled through the local archives in sheffield for a marriage between  george oates and sophia beasley (1st child born 1819, sheffield), and found nothing, and would like to eliminate or confirm this entry.  also does anyone know what the 'V8' refers to please.  I know there were several warehouses along the thames that stored sheffield wares which were transported from sheffield via the river system to the humber estuary, then down the east coast and up the thames, although by 1818, the railways were also transporting goods.

many thanks,

andy coltman

Hi Andy

Ealing Parish Records are now held at the London Metropolitan Archives.

These records may also be the LDS collection, which can be hired for viewing at your nearest LDS Family History Centre.
