In reading around the posts, I keep one eye on who is searching for whom?

Ran across yours that says McLaughlin of Manorcunningham of Donegal.

You wouldn't by any wee chance possibly have a tiny fair mix of Quinn in your McLaughlins, now would you?

I have a Michael Quinn, born 1868 in area of Rosilly Bar/Leghowney who married a lady by the last name of McLaughlin.  Michael's father was Edward Quinn and his mother was Catherine Cassidy.

Hey!  It's worth a shot!  Who knows??

oh patty i only just saw this post! so sorry!! i have one margaret quinn who married william james mclaughlin in 1902; not sure if in ireland or australia. no other info at the moment, although it's a work in progress.

It's okay!  I'll take your information and tuck it away for now.  So far, I have only found one connection that went to Australia, but considering the size of this family, I'm sure there were more.

Patty, ger_g,

Why are you folks posting on the Lighter Side instead of the Co. Donegal Board?  Also omit the personal "ger_g...." etc. If you must at least use the PM system. I feel you will both get a better response if this thread was moved as McLaughlin is a big name in the North West of Ireland. Josef Locke was the stage name of Joseph McLaughlin (23 March 1917 - 15 October 1999) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Locke You never know you might find a family connection to this guy. I feel this thread should be moved and have sent a message to Sarah.
