You may find it easier to group the families if you can trace marriages in the appropriate parishes. I have found that many of my cornwall marriages are not indexed on the IGI but they are listed as being on the LDS films, so if you are near an LDS centre, looking through the films is an option (rather slow, but it can give good results).

It would seem that the children 1749 - 1765 could well be the one family.
The online  IGI has an Elizabeth and Eleanor being christened 24th and 25th Nov 1754 and Elizabeth dying in 1755 - Twins?

Thanks Trish,

Have found many of Cornish marriage details through family history on-line site (seem to be more there than on IGI). it's putting families together that's the problem. How I wish the census went back further.  ???

How do I find out where the LDS centre's are? - I'm in Barcelona, Spain.

Cheers again

You can look them up here
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp

Barcelona Spain
Avenida Virgen de Montserrat 60
Barcelona
Barcelona, Barcelona E-08024, Barcelona, Spain
Phone: 34-93-2108353

If you haven't used them before, you need to order the film you require - can take a few weeks (or longer) to arrive & then visit the centre to view same.
Maybe you could take a quick holiday to Cornwall  ;D  ;D  (I would love to do that)

Thanks again, Trish.

Will look it up. I was in Cornwall earlier on this year- before I'd started this trail My dad lives there - he actually moved 7 years ago to the village of our forebears without knowing that is where his family came from  - perhaps I'll have to enlist him in my search.

Hi Mark

I just reread your posts & noticed the reference to family history online. I had forgotten that site for many moons & just logged back on & found a dozen of my Wendron marriages - so many thanks for the comment

Trish

(Sorry this doesn't help your query - but it has helped my validation of IGI submitted data)   ;D  ;D

You're very welcome Trish, ;)

It's a real buzz when a newbie like me can actually do something to help  ;D

As for my query - I've left it for a while or I'm going to go crazy  & am chasing another line.

It doesn't take long to get a few clues  ;D  and its amazing how a "new look" at an old problem can find the solution. Looking for answers to other folks queries has helped me immeasurably to resolve my own.

As for my query - I've left it for a while or I'm going to go crazy  & am chasing another line.

Sign of a true addict (looking for the "kick" of a find) - going from one branch to another - I do it all the time - and branch out sideways as well -  ;D  ;D  ;D

good searching
