Which Regiment?
« on: Friday 14 October 05 21:08 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have a medal card for my grandfather, in the corps section it says "Camerons  Regtl No. S/50250"
Can someone tell me if this is the Cameronians or the Cameron Highlanders. :-\

Many thanks
Cammy

Hi
Checking through my book there was the Cameronian's
which was formed in 1688
26th a foot    it was the (Scottish Rifles)
also  there was the Queens own Cameron Highlanders
which was formed in 1793 the 79th a foot
Is that his service Number if so you could send a letter Fort George it still a training Esb you might get a bit more info
