ok, I have some info for you.

Looks like Edward was one of the Home Immigation program.

Found item for Edward.
Arrived in Canada - St John New Brunswick 5th Apr 1929
And then on to Ottawa Ontario to the ST.Georges Home.
He would have then been placed into the farm work program.

Listed father as J T Rafferty, 10 Winifred Gardens, Wallsend so this seems to be the right lookup.

Also found "Home Children Report", my understanding it was a report card on the individuals - I assume by the Catholic Church services, done once a year. It looks like he was placed in a farming community of Campbellford, about 90 miles East of Toronto. I took photocopies which I can scan and send to you or  if the files too big I can mail them to you.

There are several Rafferty's listed in and around this area in the phone book.
Assuming Edward stayed in Ontario you could do a search for Marrige/Death record info.

Let me know and I will give you the details.

BTW you seem to be a major contributor...

Elliot

Audrey,
I have scanned  the files(5) into jpeg format
Files size is 1.4 meg in size. full format was 26meg.
Too big to send.
Had to split scans into smaller segments, page was originally 11x17

Do you want me to send attached thru rootschat or to some other email address?
Do you want me to mail you the photocopies to you.

One more question re: Edward do you know what birth date was ??
