I am new to the board so I have just seen your request. I have searched Peeblesshire for 1841 and 1851 and I can't find a precise match although there are some possibilities. Do you have any more information, siblings for example?

Hi thanks for getting in touch  i havent been able to find out anything about Elizabeth  she died  tragically in NZ when she was only 36yrs old her death cert tells me nothing i thought her mother may have been Agnes as that was her eldest daughters name she would have been about 6yrs old in the 1841 census i am not sure what part of Peebleshire she was born in Cheers harriet

Hi Emma  thank you very much  i am pretty sure thats my ggggrandfather Richard Burns as for Elizabeth unless they have the ages wrong by 1841 she would have been about  6 or 7yrs old when she married in 1852 she was 18yrs old  sometimes i think the agesare out a little so i will keep it on file.Many thanks again for your time its great Harriet
