Joseph Fulton - Kilbarchan

Looking for info from the 1841/1851 census.

Joseph bapt/born 1841 Kilbrachan -  parents  Joseph Fulton/Sarah Mooney.

Joseph married in Largs in 1867 -  don't have anything on him prior to this.

lodging with charles henry who was irish.

now back to his father who looks to have remarried to maria williamson

now when i was looking around i found a james fulton who looks like the brother of joseph from ireland

so more looking about, would i be in correct in thinking that the whole fulton family came across from ireland?

as this may be the father of all concerned

whenever you get the chance i suggest a wee trip to kilbarchan, renfrewshire, as they have a weaver's cottage open to the public and well worth a visit.

i forgot to mention that you can tie the whole thing together by getting death cert from www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk it would be of great advantage to your goodself to confirm all the family.

should you require some one to visit the local cemetery, give me a shout as i stay local to kilbarchan, you could always tie in with gadget and the rootschat meet in glasgow, later this year, orginising a day trip to kilbarchan.

 :)  Joe thank you so much for the census information, it will give me something to work with.  This is my hubby's side of the family, and it seems  all the branches of his tree, come from ireland -  and he thinks he's  Scottish through and through ;D he will be shocked  :o
