James Carr Lune
« on: Thursday 08 February 07 19:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi rootschatters

I've just discovered another family member  James Carr Lune (sometimes transcribed as Loon), in Canada.

James born in England abt 1880 - still in England in 1901 but I found a marriage for him in 1907, in Toronto to Susan/nah Day  I am wondering if  anyone can help find him on the 1906 census and maybe help locate him in city directories?  On his marriage his occupation is S R Conductor (whatever that is!!!).

I am pretty sure there must be descendants out there for this one, well hope so.

Thanks in advance

Graham

Me either Graham, maybe they were on holiday that day  ::)

The 1906 is only for the Province of Manitoba, Sask. and Alberta.

Hi J.J

1911 census - FAB!   thanks so much.

Not sure 'bout the others.   Those names aren't mentioned in my tree but thanks all the same.  I will make a note of them, just in case!.

Anyone able to trace James in 1906?

Thanks again

Graham

Sorry, missed the last part of the first query...we've had the question before... pretty sure it's Street Railway Conductor   ( Street Cars...like a bus on rails....)
Correct me if I'm wrong, Karen...
