Hi wozzle,

When you click on the "send to a friend" link on the bottom of the post a yellow box will appear. If we are talking about this thread here and I was trying to send it, it will say

Send the topic "send to a friend" to a friend.

Your name: krisesjoint
Your email address: My email address will appear here automatically
Add a comment: I might say something like "I think you will enjoy this thread"
Recipient's name: I would insert my friend's name here
Recipient's email address: I would insert my friends email address here

Your friend will then get an email from RootsChat giving the information, with a link to the thread

Good Luck..........Kris  :D

Hi wozzle,

Sure she will (if she is online she will well and truly have it by now)  ;)

The advantage of "send to a friend" is that if the person is not already a RootsChatter, by you sending the link to a friend in this way,  within a few minutes, the person now has your RootChat username as well as the Link to the thread you thought they would enjoy seeing, so should this person decide to become a member they will know, before joining, that there will be a friendly face about ;D

Of course we all know they will see lots of friendly faces  ;)

Cheers Kris  :D

Hi Wozzle & Kris

I think I've been a RC member for about 3 years - I have never before seen that link - Amazing what one can look at and not see every day

Thanks for the query/answer - I might now use it  ;D

I remember being aware of it for a long time before using it.

I find it very useful: if I see something while browsing at lunchtime (at work!) I email it to myself as a reminder for when i get home.

I don't have any friends you see...

 ;D ;D
