Hello Christopher,

I have a relative whose occupation was RIC,  born 1869, Co. Dublin. He was educated at the Armgh Royal School but I have no idea when. He was married in 1894 so I would assume around 1887-1889. Also would like to know what type of school this was.

My question is, would you know who I could email or write, to obtain more info on him attending this school.  Thank you. :)

Hi Maystan,

Have a look at the site ... Further to your right from where it says Home it says Contact.

There's even a ready made form to complete.

The Royal School of Armagh Register, 1849 - 1930 available at www.emeraldancestors.com from 14 January 2008.

Over 2,000 names of entrants to the Royal School, Armagh have now been added to the Schools Register database.

These records typically include the name, date of birth and father’s name of the pupils attending this well-established Boys Boarding School from 1849 to 1930.

While situated close to the centre of Armagh, the school was attended by boys from throughout Ireland during this period and in the majority of cases, the home residence of the family is included in the database.
