What does U.S.D mean?

On a certificate, under the date & place of death, are the initials U.S.D.
Can anyone please tell me what these mean?

Taylor - Ringwould & Ash
Skinner - Deal
Bushell - Walmer
Spain - Walmer
Also
Schloss - Poland, Nottingham, Massachusetts & New Zealand.

If you go to http://www.visionofbritain.org.uk/types/index.jsp you will get an explanation of all Administrative Units.

i.e. Sanitary District
. . . . . . . .  Rural Sanitary District
. . . . . . . .  Urban Sanitary District
. . . . . . . .  London (sanitary) District
