I'm researching my family history - and trying to track down my grandfather who was brought up within the Plymouth Brethren around 1901 in Devonport the family name is Shepherd - can anyone help

What was your grandfathers christian name and do you know the names of his parents or any of his older siblings

Grandfathers name was Cecil George
G.Grandfathers name was Richard B Shepherd
Brothers and sisters were Samual, Elizabeth, Montague, Ernest and Richard

presumably Victor M is Montague. You can view 1881 yourself - that is free acess.

Strong possibility - Free BMD marriage:
1879 Richard Wonnacott B Shepherd and Lucy Slocombe.

Free BMD - birth 1856 Richard Wonnacott Blight Shepherd.
There is also a birth -1883- Richard Wonnacott Harris - sounds like a relation  :-\

This is your great grandfather on the 1861 census with his parents and siblings.  It has been entered as Shephard
