Deleting or resizing images - Help !!!

Is it possible to delete an image? Is it a simple matter to resize once it is posted?

What looks alright on your computer may suddenly become enormous when you post it on RootsChat.

I discovered the system won't let you preview an image so once you click open ...........

Should this happen to you, then just delete the image and try again:

Click on modify on your reply.
Click on Attach a photograph or image (and other options)..
If you have an image attached, you will see a list of images, each with a check-box.
just uncheck the images you want to delete and Save the reply.

then resize your image
see Topic: Adding images to Posting & Profiles
1) Resizing and cropping your image file:[/color]

and modify your original reply to re-post the image
(this has the advantage, that you don't have to keep inventing new names for the same image).

You can repeat this till it's right, but for snapshots etc, try for a max. width of  500-700 pixels.

Good luck,
Bob

Hi Berlin-Bob

Thank you very much for PM and the above message. It is so simple when you know how. I got as far as modify but didn't have the sense to click on Attach a photograph or image (and other options).
